India's merchandise exports in January 2012 registered only a 10.1 per cent growth year-on-year to $25.34 billion owing to a poor demand in markets abroad.However, this export performance was a shade better than the 3.87 per cent growth in November 2011 and 6.7 per cent in December 2011.
