The Union textile ministry has recently approved the amendment proposed by the Jute Manufactures Development Council (JMDC) for JMDC incentive scheme for the modernisation of the jute industry. Accordingly, JMDC has circulated the proposed amendments of the scheme to the respective jute mill management with regard to objective, eligibility criteria and ceiling of subsidy under the scheme.
