It could be concluded from the data given in the tables that the fastness property of red sandalwood sawdust dye performs at an average to satisfactory. The hot press and sublimation fastness of the dye is very good and the rub and wash fastness of the dye is average to poor. This could be due to the fact that the un-reacted dye that is left on the surface of the substrate gave poor results.
