I sit here wondering where the past two years went as I write this column for the final time. At the AGM I passed the president's mantle onto Tony Simpson who will take the Institute into the 2020's, which sounds incredibly futuristic doesn't it? The challenge for our industry and especially the engineer assessor is to keep pace with all the technical innovation that is thrust upon us with little preceding information.
