The Benevolent Fund of the Institute of Automotive Engineer Assessors was set up in 1963 by 47 members entering into a voluntary deed for seven years. This has now evolved to all members above the grade of affiliate being offered the opportunity to make a small voluntary donation at the time of paying their annual subscription. Other sources of income come from regional donations or by personal bequeaths. All of our trustees work voluntarily without claiming any expenses.
