With more than 30 years of engineering and mechanical expertise under his belt during his time as an Alfa Romeo specialist, Les Duffy from Bristol took his car to a local garage to have the front and rear brake pads changed. Les was surprised to see that his car was missing one of the metal inserts in the rear wheel. The inserts are used to tighten the nut against and when Les inspected the other wheels, (including the spare) he found that the spare had inserts so loose they could have been pushed out.
