Much of the activity has come via private equity investors, Carlyle Group following its initial move back in April when it acquired Nationwide Accident Repair Services for £43.2m. In late July, Nationwide then agreed terms to acquire Just Car Clinics Group (JCC) for a cash consideration which valued JCC at approximately £13.77m. And earlier this month (September), Insurance software provider The Innovation Group Plc has agreed to a £499m takeover bid from private equity firm Carlyle Group.
