Congratulations to all the candidates who successfully passed the IAEA's practical exam held in Ireland in December. The Institute's Les Minton and Alan Doughty travelled to Ireland before the Belfast exam to procure test vehicles for the candidates to assess and for some pre-exam training. The training, and the exam itself, took place at Riverpark Training in Mallusk and was organised by the centre's Training Manager Colin Hagan. To thank him for his troubles, Colin was'persuaded'to take part in the training and the exam. He said, The training was to an excellent standard, and this undoubtedly was the main factor in the success in what is hoped to be the pilot for further engineers to gain their full membership of the organisation in Ireland.'
