Volkswagen presented two new and efficient electric cars at the Frankfurt show: the e-up! and e-Golf, both with four doors and zero-emissions. The e-up! consumes 11.7 kWh of electricity per 100 km, while the e-Golf, positioned two classes higher, attains 12.7 kWh. The e-motors, gearboxes and lithium-ion batteries of the e-up! and e-Golf were developed in-house, and manufactured in a large Volkswagen component plant in Germany.
