In March, Andrew delivered an entertaining and informative presentation to members and guests from across the North of England and followed this up by attending a London Region meeting in April. The theme of the talks was: Diversity and Complexity of Future Vehicle Design Towards 2015. Andrew talked about the changes that will face both motor engineers and repairers in the coming years. Fresh from the Geneva Motor Show, where manufacturers were show-casing their future designs, Andrew covered a range of vehicles from the delightful Zagato designed Fiat 500 through to a £300,000 Lamborghini with models for every pocket and requirement in-between. He said the main focus appeared to be on stronger, safer and lighter body architecture, with a strong regard for pedestrian safety and a heavy reduction on CO2 emissions.
