Many in the motor vehicle repair and insurance world will know Jim, who spent over 50 years in the industry. Jim began his career in 1956, at the Ford main dealership in Bristol, working his way through the ranks to become the senior estimator. After 10 years, he was recruited by Eagle Star as an engineer, where he studied for, and passed with flying colours, the exams forT Eng, IAEA and Member of the Federation International. In the 1970s, Jim set up his own assessing business and established sound working relationships with many leading motor insurers and fleet operators. His business expanded, and he trained and employed engineers throughout the West Country and South Wales, eventually spreading to London and the Home Counties.
