Recycling of aluminium beverage cans in Europe has reached record levels, according to the latest figures released by industry associations European Aluminium (EA) and Metal Packaging Europe (MPE). The overall recycling rate for aluminium beverage cans in the EU, Switzerland, Norway and Iceland rose to 76.1 per cent in 2018 from 74.5 per cent a year earlier. Recycling rates in the EU ranged from 31 per cent in Cyprus to 99 per cent in Germany. Illinois-based metal decorating ink specialist INX International Ink Co has merged its South American businesses with INX do Brasil in preparation for an expansion next year. The move is expected to provide a stronger direct approach for INX products in the South American market, including acquisitions, branch establishment and future investments, as well as expansion plans in 2021.
