Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH), one of the UK's largest children's hospitals, has an air pollution problem. The central London institution is among the 17% of hospitals across the UK situated in areas exceeding safe air quality limits set by the World Health Organisations. For several years, GOSH has been trying out various different measures to improve its air quality. But Nick Martin, the hospital's head of sustainability, and his colleagues were keen to go further. "We wanted to bring things together in a more holistic way, in a way that helps very overstretched individuals and organisations," says Martin.
