Drax Group is shifting its business strategy towards providing more value-added electricity backup services to the grid and supplying power to small and medium enterprises. The company's announcement in December coincided with its plans to buy generation and electricity services retailer Opus Energy for £34om as well as four open-cycle gas turbine (OCGT) projects.
