About 15 million tons of paper is currently incinerated for disposal in Japan. Of this amount, 3.6million tons is estimated to be reusable as recycled paper. Problems held by various munici- palities in relation to garbage disposal are becoming more and more serious every year. One of such problems is an increasing amount of recyclable garbage is being collected as the efforts to reduce the amount of garbage are promoted.
