A total of 23 STEPS to engineering K'NEX Challenge Regional Finals have been scheduled to take place across the country. Celebrating the Past, Creating the Future is the theme for this year's programme. With the number of completed finals approaching the half-way mark, the enthusiasm and talent of all the participants has left parents, teachers and engineers amazed at the ingenuity and creativity displayed by these budding engineers. Gerry Gallagher, a judge at the recent Carlow Institute of Technology Regional Final commented "It is great to see the young children, both girls and boys putting their imagination and creativity to the test. The K'NEX Challenge run by STEPS to engineering proves to be a great way to create awareness of what engineering is all about and how diverse it actually is."
