At Victoria Square, Belfast's latest shopping complex, even the underground car park has featured prominently in the architectural design process. A total of 1,837 EncapSulite MT50 35W waterproof fittings have been installed throughout the car park as a major part of the project, providing high levels of illumination across all levels. According to the manufacturers, the fittings' durable construction also helps provide protection against the possibility of damage through vandalism or extreme inclement conditions. EncapSulite's MT50 is an IP67 rated fitting using the latest T5 linear fluorescent technology, giving up to 104 Im/w. Fitted with a pre-coated steel reflector for maximum light output the fitting incorporates a quick release power supply enabling speedy lamp replacement and instant start and flicker free performance "is guaranteed with the use of a power efficient HF electronic ballast". The 'one piece' 50mm diameter polycarbonate exterior "also ensures hazard free usage in any working environment".
