In response to keen interest, particularly among electric appliance manufacturers, in paper- based cushioning material from the point of view of environmental issues, Rengo has been en- gaged in developing new types of corrugated cushions using zigzag-cut structures. Major advan- tages are to be found in its 1) ability to protect electric appliances sensitive to impact, 2)less- ened deformation of the materials's shape and 3) facilitation of post-shipment assembly.
