In un'industria chimica è avvenuto un incidente durante l'essiccamento di un intermedio organico umido. L 'incidente non ha provocato vittime ma solo danni all'impianto di produzione, tuttavia si è resa necessaria la chiusura di un tratto di autostrada, l'evacuazione dell'azienda e delle case vicine. L'evento ha generato un notevole allarme nella popolazione e nei media locali. In questo lavoro è stata caratterizzata la stabilità termica dell'intermedio umido mediante tecniche calorimetriche e analitiche ed è stato proposta una ricostruzione delle cause dell'incidente.%In a fine chemicals factory, an accident occurred during the drying step of a wet intermediate. The explosion caused no victims but damages to the plant and, as a consequence of the explosion, the near motorway was closed for half a day and a bad impression was made on the local mass media and the neighbouring population. fn this work, the thermal stability of the wet intermediate was characterized using calo-rimetric (DSC, ARC, C80, TG) and analytic (NMR, GPC, FTIR) techniques and the root causes of the accident was proposed.
