FuelSave, the Germany-based manufacturer of the fuel saving additive FS Marine+, has applied to become a partner of the CO_2 Challenge to improve its environmental credibility. Marc Sima (pictured) FuelSave co-founder and president, said that as shipping looks at solutions capable of cutting carbon emissions in half by 2050, the CO_2 Challenge is the optimum platform from which to launch new technology, get innovations to market and scale up production. "We officially launched FS Marine+ at the beginning of the year, following successful field and laboratory tests, specifically to address the emissions challenge the marine industry faces," said Heino Eckerich, technical director, FuelSave. Tests have confirmed that FS Marine+ can reduce fuel consumption and consequently carbon emissions, from any marine diesel engine by 10% (net).
