In the wake of IMO decisions on shipping emissions, rival perspectives have resurfaced on the potential of LNG to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) pollution from ships. A mandatory fuel consumption data collection system was also established as the first step towards further measures to reduce CO_2 emissions.
