Braemar LNG is moving to the next phase of developing its new containment system after signing a licence agreement with General Dynamics NASSCO to use its patents in design and construction of the system. The FSP LNG containment system - a new semi-membrane, prismatic-shaped LNG tank containment system Type B - uses flat plate technology to overcome the issues associated with partial filling and sloshing. "We are delighted that this key stage in the FSP project has now been reached," said Geoff Green, managing director, Braemar Engineering. "The industry is asking not if, but when, FSP will come to market, and I am pleased to now be in a position to deliver a positive response.
