摘要

Waertsilae has been contracted by Siem Offshore to provide ship design, propulsion systems and other equipment for four more PSVs to be built at Remontowa in Poland for Siem Offshore. This follows orders for similar ships placed in November 2012 and August 2013. The four new vessels, like the two currently under construction, will utilise the Waertsilae VS 4411 OF ship design and will have Waertsilae dual-fuel propulsion allowing them to operate primarily on LNG. Waertsilae says that us integration of its supplied systems into a total solution, andwith an optimised hull design, the vessels will feature low fuel consumption, resulting in reduced fuel costs and fewer exhaust emissions compared to vessels running on conventional fuel oils.
