Norway-based exhaust gas abatement company Green Tech Marine has announced a contract to deliver four scrubbers to Norwegian Cruise Line's Pride of America. The scrubbers will replace the silencers of the ship's four 8MW engines, which Green Tech says makes it the largest marine scrubber installation to date. The hybrid scrubber system will operate in both open loop and closed loop modes, while the compact dimensions are said to avoid sacrificing any accommodation space.
