Cunard-operated, 90,000gt Queen Victoria is to undergo an unscheduled dry-docking at Lloyd Werft Bremerhaven in October for "essential maintenance work" related to bearing problems in one of her ABB Azipod propulsion units, writes Tom Todd.Lloyd Werft MD Rudiger Pallentin told TheMotorshipthe Carnival-owned ship had been booked in at the German yard but gave no technical details. Cunard spokeswoman Gill Haynes however told The Motorship: "The work being done concerns one of the bearings on one of the ship's pods."
