USA-based high speed engine company Cummins Marine reports a number of significant recent projects undertaken in Malaysia and Europe.Eastern Marine Shipbuilding in Sibu, East Malaysia, has recently delivered two ships, which, according to Cummins, indicate the growing technical sophistication of the Sarawak yards. The 60m x 16m Offshore Surveyor was built to a design by Wartsila Ship Design's Singapore office. The Malaysian-registered vessel is fitted with a 2.4m2 moon pool and a deck crane with telescoping boom to lift up 5 tonnes at 8m reach.
