Our industry is facing times that will, to say the least, prove challenging. If the challenges to shipping and shipbuilding are anything like those of producing this issue, they will indeed be hard.rnReviewing the past year was no problem - a pleasure, even. Judging by output and orders, shipbuilding and marine engineering had never seemed healthier. But as the year progressed, doom and gloom began to overshadow things, in the form of a global economic crisis bringing recession. With its full order books it has to be said that shipbuilding has not felt the bite, but we are confident that it will.
