Aker Yards and the Canadian G.A.P Adventures,a major player in adventure travel,signed a design contract in June to convert the 1972 built ex-Viking ferry Alandsf(a)rjan into a polar expedition cruise vessel to be named Expedition.The contract for the conversion work was signed in September and is being undertaken at Aker Yards in Rauma,Finland,withrndelivery scheduled in April 2009.Dismantling work had already commenced since the design contract was signed in June.
