SigmaKalon recently concluded an agreement with Leighs Paints to form a strategic alliance in the hydrocarbon passive fire protection sector. Under this agreement SigmaKalon marketed Leighs technology as Sigma FireBarr 2000. In future the material will be rebranded as Sigma Firetex M90. Sigma Firetex M90 is a thick film exterior durable epoxy intumescent coating for the treatment of offshore structures, LPG storage tanks and other steelwork reguiring fire protection from hydrocarbon and jet fires.
