THE COLLABORATION BETWEEN LAW ENFORCEMENT AND THE PRIVATE SECTOR IS VITAL TO REAL-TIME INFORMATION SHARING ON EVOLVING THREATS AND ENHANCING THE SECURITY OF OUR COMMUNITIES.Having served as a city police officer; federal agent; and, now, Under Secretary of Homeland Security, I have seen firsthand how important this engagement is to your operations and to our partners in the private sector. I want to ensure that decision makers and our partners receive timely information and intelligence in order to make operational decisions that will mitigate threats and diminish risk to the United States.
