Die DB Netz AG modernisiert mehrere wichtige Zugbildungsanlagen (ZBA) mit dem Ziel, die Wagenumstellung sicherer, schneller und wirtschaftlicher zu gestalten und somit die Wettbewerbsfähigkeit des Schienengüterverkehrs zu sichern. Hintergrund ist die Optimierung der Transportkette im Wagenladungsverkehr durch die Konzentration auf eine optimierte Anzahl von ZBA. Durch die Ausrüstung mit modernster Rangier- und Steuerungstechnik werden die strategisch wichtigen ZBA den neu gestellten Anforderungen gerecht. Fünf Anlagen bilden die erste Tranche des Modernisierungsprogramms.%DB Netz AG is modernising a number of major formation yards with the aim of making wagon turnaround faster and more cost-efficient and hence of safeguarding the competitiveness of rail freight transport. The context for the project is the plan to optimise the transport chain in full-load traffic by concentrating on a reduced number of formation yards. Equipping the strategically important formation yards with the latest shunting and control systems will enable them to meet the new requirements. The first phase of the modernisation programme covers a total of five yards.
