A gresley'N2'tank will once again stand at King's Cross station's bufferstops - 54 years after it was disposed of by the legendary 'Top Shed'. The sole survivor of the Great Northern Railway's suburban 0-6-2Ts, No. 1744 will be joined by'A4'No. 60009 Union of South Africa for a day's public celebration to coincide with the launch of the bronze statue of Sir Nigel Gresley at the station on April 5. The date marks the 75th anniversary of the LNER chief mechanical engineer's death.
