The Kent & East Sussex Railway's Terrier' 0-6-0T No. 32670 was stopped in November, requiring attention to a leak in its main steam pipe. The loco had also encountered a problem with its air pump, a problem which also affected ex-LBSCR 'Terrier'No. 32678 (ex-KnowIe). The sidelining of both Terriers'resulted in the K&ESR cancelling its November 2 Hayling Island Remembered day. THE Swindon & Cricklade celebrated its 35th anniversary by launching a carriage converted to enable wheelchair access on November 17.The carriage also incorporates a wheelchair accessible toilet. The conversion has been a four-year project assisted by £27,000 of funding from the Landfill Communities Fund. The carriage is named Laura.
