Class 50 No. 50017 Royal Oak was in operation on the Plym Valley Railway on November 17 for a winter diesel day entitled '17 on the 17th'. It is seen departing from Marsh Mills with the 12.00 service to Plym Bridge. The three-coach train was top-and-tailed with the oldest operational Class 08, No. 13002 (No. D3002 built at Derby in 1952).
