The Wensleydale Railway has unexpectedly found itself having to find £100,000 to undertake repairs to the landslip near Akebar (RM Christmas and February). Although the line is owned by Network Rail, the national company felt unable to contribute towards repair costs. Until repairs are effected, services will operate on a Leeming Bar-Newton-Ainderby-Leeming Bar diagram.
