Class 40 No. 345 (40145) returned to service on November 4 following main generator repairs.rnIt had been absent from the main line for three years.rnHeading 0Z41, the 13.40 from Barrow Hill - where it has been receiving attention - the loco worked to Tyseley, the consist being 'Deltic' No. D9009 Alycidon and the Class Forty Preservation Society's other loco, No. D335.rnAll three had their tyres turned at Tyseley.rnOn November 8, No. 345 was again in charge of the trio, dropping off the Class 55 at Barrow Hill and then the two "Whistlers" went on to their East Lancashire Railway base.
