The Gwili Railway's £35,000 platform at Abergwili Junction/Cyffordd Abergwili has been completed. The platform will become the GR's new southern terminus. GWR-style running-in boards and posts have been acquired, which are being sponsored by a shareholder. The line also hopes that a donor will offer to finance GWR-pattern lamps and posts. With the platform complete, extension track-laying (which had been temporarily paused at Dolgwili Road, bridge 5) has resumed into the platform, and 3,000 tons of ballast has been laid on the 11/2Vi-mile extension from Bronwydd Arms and is ready for tamping. A passing loop and sidings will be installed at Abergwili Junction this winter.
