摘要

The preserved railway on which the much-loved 1970 film of Edith Nesbit's Railway Children novel was filmed was the Keighley & Worth Valley. This line has very strong literary connections of its own, for it lies in the heart of what has become known as Bronte Country.rnThe Bronte sisters - Charlotte, Emily and Anne - lived in the Yorkshire village of Haworth and became poets and novelists of such repute that a museum dedicated to their lives and work now attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors a year, many of whom travel to Haworth by K&WVR steam train.
