Freicht traffic the South Wwst has suffered a double blow. A train that originated at Esso's Fawley refinery and took diesel fuel for delivery to railway installations in Devon and Cornwall has ended. A timber working from Newton Abbot has also ceased. The fuel train previously ran once-a-week from Fawley, taking diesel to the First Great Western depot at St Philip's Marsh, then went forward to Tavistock Junction, Plymouth, where fuel was tripped to FGW's Laira and Penzance depots.
