A first-ever survey of train operators by the magazine Which? has placed Virgin Trains at the top of the table with a rating of 64%. The worst-rated operator was Southeastern, which managed just a 40% rating. The Which? survey paints a mixed picture of the service provided by train companies, with some passengers experiencing overcrowding, erratic punctuality and poor value for money.
