Sellars is blocked from this interpretation by his view that the entities in the space of nature, the entities of the space of nature, are radically different from the conceptualized entities of the manifest image. [...] he reads Kant's sensibility as presenting entities akin to his own scientific image entities - entities that are alien to our sensory concepts and, thus, not equipped to be components of inferences from sensory inputs. According to Sellars's Kant, the objects in terms of which we think, processed by the categories, are not real, just as the objects of the manifest image are not real.
