摘要

Since 2001, the United States and European NATO allies have pursued a state-building agenda in Afghanistan. The outcomes of this engagement remain mixed, but one thing is for certain: this prolonged period of armed conflict challenged NATO militaries and led to various types of military adaptation across the Alliance. With the war in Afghanistan ongoing, much scholarship on this topic remains to be written. Theo Farrell, Frans Osinga and James A Russell, however, have pulled together the best compilation to date in their newly released offering Military Adaptation in Afghanistan.
