The problem of terrorism within India was recently highlighted by the attack on an Israeli diplomat in New Delhi, but internal security and counter terrorism efforts in India arguably entered the public consciousness with the Mumbai attacks in 2008. Indeed, the cover of this book features the searing image of the Taj Mahal Hotel in flames in November of that year. Initially, one may feel misled that this defining incident is only partially covered in this work.
