50% cut in carbon emissions could be achieved by 2050 at a cost of around 3% of global economic growth; the firm has increased its 2006 estimate of 2-3% in response to the explosive growth of economies and industries in India and China. Such a cut, however, would require the G7 nations to reduce their own emissions by 80%.
