We present the results obtained from experiments on determining condensate flowrate through the annular gaps at locations in which heat-transfer tubes pass through the holes in the horizontal spacer parti tions used in vertical steam-water heaters. Expressions for calculating the coefficient of pressure drop due to friction λ.fr = /(Re) in real gaps are proposed on the basis of the obtained data.
