A mathematical model based on the solution to the eddy diffusion equation is proposed for describing the dispersion of gaseous pollutants ejected by a high-altitude point source. Analytic expressions are derived for approximating spatial distribution of pollutant concentration in the boundary layer of the atmosphere (BLA).
