We describe the experience gained from commercial introduction of precoat ion-exchange filtration in water-treatment plants at operating nuclear power stations. The list of factory-standard powdered ion-exchange resins is presented, and their physicochemical properties are given. The possibility is shown of improving, through the use of precoat ion-exchange filtration, the water chemistry conditions at either newly designed or already operating nuclear power stations.
