Results from investigating the hydraulics and distribution of impurities in the salt compartment of a high-pressure drum boiler are presented. It is shown that all the circulation characteristics are pulsating in nature. A technique for processing such characteristics is described. A model for the throwover of boiler water from a distant cyclone circuit to a nearby cyclone circuit is suggested.
