Problems that arise when developing a new generation of turbine sets for nuclear power-generating units with a capacity of 1500 MW and higher are discussed. It is shown that these complex engineering problems can be solved through carrying out a set of theoretical and experimental investigations using advanced computer programs and techniques in combination with investigations on test beds and field tests.
