A mathematical model of the pulsations of incomplete burning of fuel is developed; it is based on methods of probability theory and the theory of stochastic processes. The analytical dependences of their estimated values on the combustion parameters together with the results of calculations by means of a model are presented. Practical application of the statistical model is illustrated from examples of using optical sensors to measure pulsations of incomplete burning.
